What Is Bio-Vinyl PVC & What Are The Advantages

TL;DR

Bio-Vinyl is a PVC compound that is produced using plant based or recyclable oil feedstock (i.e. cooking oil) as opposed to using fossil fuel materials traditionally used in PVC.

The Details

Bio-Vinyl is a Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) compound (bio-attributed PVC) that is produced using non-fossil fuel materials.

Standard PVC compound is produced using fossil fuel feedstock (ingredients) whereas Bio-Vinyl PVC starts with plant based or recyclable oil feedstock (i.e. cooking oil).

The functionality and output of Bio-Vinyl PVC is equivalent to Standard PVC, with the marked exception that Bio-Vinyl PVC carries a significantly lighter carbon footprint.

To be available in a vast palette of colors, the manufacturing process (pressing records) of both compounds is the same. In turn, under the watchful eye of our IRP press operators and quality control experts, the performance and quality for the Bio-Vinyl PVC produces the same results as Standard PVC.
